They postponed my appointment with the dermatologist 3 times. I don’t know what to do with this mole!

It has peeled 4 times, it became inflamed from the top once, now it is inflamed from the bottom again, I don't know if this is because my skin is dry or something is wrong I'm confused!!

I am very angry because they keep postponing my appointment, I am worried there is something in the mole, it does not itch, it does not change in size, is this because of the skin or because of it?

I used to rub it and the skin around it with olive oil, but I stopped doing that for 3 weeks. I was so busy doing my lung tests and pneumonia that I forgot that the mole was there. Now I remembered to look at it, I saw the redness!

Were you referred under the 2 week pathway?

2dogsandabudgie · 09/01/2024 18:30

Also how long have you had it? The fact it hasn't changed in size is a good sign.

@2dogsandabudgie I got this mole 4 years ago, and it has always been this color and size.

op- l don't want to worry you but can you not go privately?

An indistinct outline is a sign of an unhealthy mole, (but l am not a doctor )

@squirrelnutkin10 I wanted to blame it on dry skin, but maybe you're right!

Change surgeries/doctors if they aren't taking this seriously.
While waiting, have you put it through AI checkers online? Have they given you an online consultation? (Not as a solution, you still need to be seen).
My family member has pre cancer cells and the only symptom was an itchy nose. Spotted by dr and very easy to cure at that stage.
I had an itchy /irritated mole (caused by very xold
weather I think) and it was fine but all moles need checking by the doctor with a microscope if they are new , different or have symptoms.

@Allthatglittersisntart It's not new, I've had it for 4 years, there's never been a problem with it. The first mole peeling occurred this autumn. I don’t know why! I don't know if I should trust the AI. The appointment that was postponed should be at the end of this month. If I don't get my appointment, I will look for another dermatologist. I'm really fed up with them.
