Anyone got a weird lightheadedness virus?

I thought I was getting a UTI - hard to explain but aware of bladder discomfort, peeing more frequently. Was waiting for the pain when urinating to start but it never did, though my bladder felt inflamed for a few days. Instead it has morphed into a sort of lightheadedness where if I get up too fast I am walking like a drunk bashing into walls. My IQ has reduced by about 40 points - I feel really foggy headed. But zero cold symptoms. No cough, no runny nose, no sore throat, no chestiness, no ear pain. Maybe very minor congested feeling in one ear but it doesn't feel enough to account for this major swimminess sensation.

My dh came over lightheaded yesterday as well and my daughter was complaining of "dizziness" on a couple of occasions earlier in the week. Anyone else had it?

When did you last have your gas boiler serviced?

Keep windows opened and get it check because your symptoms suggest possible CO poisoning.

I saw a GP because of lightheadness just last month! I had blood tests but nothing showed up, and I seem to be ok now. I actually fell backwards on my front steps!

Good call - but our boiler is only 3 years old and was last serviced in June 23 when it was in perfect order. Might call our gas guy to double check though.

I have this as one of the many symptoms of the virus I’ve had since mid-December. Our boiler isn’t even in the house so definitely not CO poisoning. I am lightheaded and just bone weary and also heartily bored of feeling ill.

Could be labyrinthitis - often goes in waves with several people being affected at once. See if you can get some stemitil (may be available over the counter these days).

Worth getting it checked just to be sure. Ruling it out is sensible!!!
