Skin Rash please help

A friend of mine has had a horrible rash all over his body for about 2 months now. He has been to see doctors but they don't know what it is. It started on his face but has spread over his body and it does look like chicken pox, but that normally clears after a week - 2 weeks ish. Can anyone help, its like blisters and they itch, which is why I thought chicken pox, but surely not for this long?

allergie to something could it be washing powder or even something his eating i would go back to doctors and ask for some allergy tests to be done

could start cutting things from diet to see if it clears up or eases

Apparently his hands have gone all scabby he's in a band and is on tour at the moment so i'm imagining that is difficult with eating habits etc. they have got a culture growing underway i believe...poor thing

A friend of mine had soemthing similar to this, and I can't remember what it was called but basically it was some kind of autoimmune disorder, where the body begins to attack itself. Maybe he should go back to the docs again and ask for referral to a dermatologist.

how did they get rid of it!?!?!?! did they have to take medicine or put cream on!?!?!
