DS, (4) has conjunctivitis, and his eyes are really red and sore and swollen.

Hes in a right grump, wont get in the bath or anything and will not go to bed.

I have some medised and am thinking the anti histamine might soothe the irritation in his eyes? (i'm thinking allergy/swelling/irritation etc)

am i barking up the wrong tree?

Oh your poor ds

My dd and ds, and i had this a few weeks ago and it is awful, i would go ahead and give him medised it will most probably help him sleep even if it doesn't directly help soothe the irritation.

Good point pukka, it might knock him out a bit, never though of that.

It is horrible isn't it, I have got it too.

Whats even worse is he cant go to nursery till the discharge dissapears! We are driving each other mad already!

not sure if its possible for you, obviously depends on if your BFing a DC at the mo but i've found dropping some breastmilk straight from boob to eye is fab for conjunctivitis, weird i know i thought my doc was mad when he told me to do this for ds but it does work!!

hth and he gets better soon!
xx
