Worried I have damaged my baby boy spine and hip

I feel like a terrible mom and I am very worried i have damaged my baby spine and or hip due to the way we have been carrying him. We have carried him facing forward since he was around 2 months old without knowing this should not be done. He has always been very curious and had great head control and we thought it was safe. He never showed any sign of being uncomfortable either. Now I’ve read this position is bad for their spine and hip. Am I overreacting or should I make an appointment to get him checked?

Is this in a baby carrier?? Some baby carriers are more ergonomic than others. So it is my belief (might be wrong) their legs need to be in an "m shape" in the carrier, so legs/ thighs are well supported also. Check your carrier instructions ect? Is there any evidence you have done any damage? If baby is fine I wouldn't overly worry but just take it as a learning curve, all parents make mistakes. Keep an eye on them, get them checked out if any worries.

Good luck op and happy new year.

I’m surprised he fitted FF in a carrier that tiny! My local sling library is immensly helpful in helping you use that sling as well as supplying them, maybe see if you have one and book a chat?

If you just mean holding him then I wouldn’t stress at all, he’d have made it known if he was uncomfortable.
