Urine test results help - infection ?

I haven't been able to get a GP appointment this week (surgery used to be brilliant but so difficult to get an appointment now.)
Anyway - ordered some urine strips to see if show up infection which was a stupid idea because now I don't actually know what the results mean BlushConfused
Leukocytes - 'large 500' (the furthest away from normal)
Billrubin - 17

Everything else looks normal. I've got some of the symptoms of UTI (urgency / discomfort / some burning / cloudy urine)

Drinking lots of water. Plus had the 'cystitis relief' powder for the last two days.

It is positve nitrates that are indicitive of infection demanding use of abs Nitrofuratoin. Anything else in a dip without positive nitrates should be sent to the lab for sensitivity testing as could be a different issue needing alternative treatment.
(ive done urinalysis in NHS for 20 yrs)

Thanks @TruckerMother
This was the result from the latest culture from lab. Dipsticks have been showing negative the last couple of times despite significant symptoms.
The last culture (after 3 lots of antibiotics) was still showing as >10^8 proteus.
Sensitive to amoxicillin and trimethoprim. Resistant to Nitrofurantoin.

Hope amoxy clears it up for you and it should be a longer course than nitro. My Gynae consults when we do urodynamic clinics always ask the ladies to drink extra cranberry juice (unless diabetic) despite the negative press to the contrary it does help us girls x

That's useful to know about the cranberry - thanks. (I've bought some of the capsules.)
I finished the amoxicillin a week ago so not sure what will happen now.
