UTI + pregnant

I just wondered if I should be concerned about this. I'm 30 weeks pregnant, on my 3rd lot of antibiotics now for a UTI that seems to keep coming back. I've been taking this lot since Monday. At first I felt like they kicked in straight away and I felt some instant relief but over the last day or so I have felt a bit rubbish again - general pain 'down there', a bit of difficulty going for a wee and feeling really tired again.
i thought antibiotics normally kick in and start working quickly. I've heard of people being resistant but I haven't heard of them starting to work and then stopping? Do I need to give it more time or should I speak to someone? I'm on my third day now of 7 day course.

Don't want to make a huge fuss if this is normal and they are just working their way through my system but obviously very mindful of risks due to me being pregnant. Any advice or reassurance appreciated!

I've convinced myself that antibiotics are not made the way they used to be
Seems more and more people nowadays are needing 3 or more doses to clear infections whereas years ago you'd get 1 lot from the dr and they'd drum it into you before you left the surgery that you had to complete the full dose even if tho you'd likely feel better 1/2 way through
My dgm was on antibiotics for a UTI from January to April - that would have been unheard of 10 years ago. No way would something take so long to clear with treatment

Antibiotics these days are shite
Sorry, just a wee rant to get off my chest. Hope someone pops along with some good advice and you feel better soon x

@scaredofff yes that is my concern. I've already tried two different kinds and the third pregnant safe kind make me extremely sick so they aren't an option.

Taking comfort from fact baby still wriggling around in there so hopefully she is ok but I really do want this infection gone now!!

Could it be thrush? Sometimes I can’t tell the difference between the two.

I am also treating myself (periodically for thrush) cause surprise surprise I ended up with that too after all the antibiotics. But the current course is based on most recent urine culture that GP took showing I still had a uti. 🙁

Yea but it may have cleared and it’s thrush that’s making you uncomfortable now. I’d see your GP again

Thanks, will follow up with GP today.
