God…anyone else suffering with this? Awful painful sinuses, aching all over and a dry rasping cough. Had it a week and feel like shit. When will it end??? 🤒

Sounds like JN1 Covid, which both my daughter and I had over Christmas. It took 8 days to show up on a test for me. Hope you feel better soon, but take it slowly.

I have had it for 6 weeks. I am slowly losing the will to live.

Yup, DH had it over xmas. Hes still coughing and spluttering. Hes kindly passed it on to me. Im a week in and feel awful. Headache has gone but i have a dreadful throat and rattling cough.

Yup, I’m suffering with this! Started with cold type symptoms on Boxing Day which developed into a hacking cough, sinusitis, rattling chest etc. Took a Covid test three days later after my sister told me she had Covid - positive! I thought I was starting to feel better over the weekend as got some taste back but things have not improved since. I sound like a 40 a day smoker, coughing and rattling all the time! I’m getting really fed up with it now as I’ve cancelled several social events rather than pass on the infection to others.

Update. I’m still bloody coughing. It’s the virus that keeps on giving!

Hope you are on the right side of it soon @Bobsledgirl! I started with sore throat type symptoms on Xmas eve, but the worst was weirdly a really swollen right eyelid. Obviously couldn't do anything to sort it as everywhere was shut. By Boxing Day night the eye problem was mostly calmed down but then my right sinus was feeling tender and I just could not stop blowing my nose, absolutely streaming for 2 full days. Luckily everywhere back open as I'd totally run out of tissues and cold remedies! Then it changed into more of a stuffy nose, headaches for a few days and yesterday it seemed to be on my chest so now I've a horrible rattley cough plus the endless nose blowing 🙄 I've had sinusitis before and it doesn't feel like that pain thankfully but it also doesn't feel like a cold either. Still neg on covid tests so just assume it's one of the nasty viruses doing the rounds. Not sure what to do for it but I'm absolutely shattered and feel like I've spent the whole festive time off work being ill and knackered!

DD19 has a v painful sore throat and tickly cough, DH has a cold with chesty cough. I’m ok so far and I’m the one who works in a primary school! They haven’t tested .

I think this is what I started with on Friday. Started with a sore throat and blocked nose, last night cough started. I feel awful (I have actually cried over it, I hate getting ill and have tried so hard over the past month to avoid it)

I've gone through 3 boxes of tissues where does the snot keep coming from?! I'll send DH to get a covid test later as I've now lost smell and taste

Oh and I'm sure I drank about 6 litres of water yesterday trying to keep my throat moist and to stop the burning.

I’ve been drinking a lot as well as I read it’s the best way to help reduce the phlegm but then I’m awake all night, either coughing it up or dashing to the toilet!

I had this over Christmas and I'm still struggling and thrust still hurts to swallow. I've had a few days of starting to think I'm feeling better then I relapse and feel awful again.

I caught it on 29th Nov and the tiredness/cough still hasn’t gone (covid - had anti-virals and everything!)…

Covid test is negative. Managed to get some olbas bubble bath so I'm going to spend my evening sat on that and hope I'm feeling better for work tomorrow!
