Floating Rib Syndrome?

I think I may have this. I've been experiencing discomfort on my left side for over a year.
It started with a weird internal itchy sensation deep in my side by my ribcage. Over time it's now become very tender, sore and clicky when I rub the side of my ribs. I also get a clicking sensation when I press the small of my waist!!
This all started after changing my mattress which I found a bit too firm. I have back issues and for the last 8 years have only laid on my left side to sleep. 80 % of the time when I wake up my side aches and is so sore and tender. I'm sure this is a factor in all this and I wonder if I've damaged my floating lower ribs by constantly lying on my left side every night.
I've also experienced some gastric issues...acid reflux, burping, a sloshing sensation in my stomach! This can be linked to the floating rib issues. Anyone had similar?

I was diagnosed with Chosachondritis (spelling?)… I had similar symptoms and I’ve had it over a year now. It flares up so some days are worse than others x

Thanks you @NotaCoolMum . I did Google that and wondered if it could be what it is. Mine also comes and goes. Some days I don't feel it and others it's like a constant sore, itchy, gnawing sensation. I did pop along to the doctors last year and she examined my abdomen and said all felt normal....I might have to go back. I need a diagnosis as it's actually now becoming quite distracting. It feels like sore clunky muscles crossed with gastric issues....so odd

Hi, I know this is a fair few months old, but did you get anywhere? We have the same symptoms exactly. Mine is left side, if I walk at a slow pace, say walking round the shops, the bottom of my rib pops, crunches and clicks on my left side. My abdomen around the bottom of my ribs is sore to touch. It can be really painful but it's also a horrible feeling. They crunch as I press them. Is it even worth going to the doctors? Will or can they do anything?

@CanIbeRio just to say, that since this started, I too have quite bad reflux and I'm sure it's connected
