DS2 bumped his head on Saturday and after a swift trip to A&E he had steristrips on his cut..
However 2 of them came off overnight.
So my question is do we try to put more on?
The nurse said they should stay on for 5 days but no more.
We haven't completed 48 hours yet so do I need to get some more?

Anyone know?
TIA

You can buy them in Boots.
Phone A&E and see what they say.

Is the wound bleeding, or are you worried it might? Can you put a plaster over the wound to help prevent more coming off - or just some micropore?

Also, are you sure the nurse didn't say they would stay on for up to 5 days - difficult to take things in in A&E sometimes.

Hope ds2 feeling ok now..

I would go to the local surgery and get the nurse to put some more on.

To add another option, I would just go to my local pharmacy and ask the Pharmacist's advice. I have found them really knowledgeable, with no waiting involved - if you need to see a doctor they will tell you.

Thanks
Wound is not bleeding it is forming a scab but the cut was quite deep.
I live opposite the dr's surgery I think I may pop in on my way to school to see if they can advise.

they can help to keep the wound "together" and prevent scarring I think so I would reapply.

Buy some more and put them back on.

No first aid kit should be without them IMO (and IME!), they're fab
