Cobalt chrome denture - question for dentist

I’ve recently started wearing a cobalt chrome partial denture (a band holding a tooth on either side). I’ve been instructed to wear it all the time except when it’s taken out for cleaning - the exact instructions were to clean it (with the 2-headed toothbrush provided) and let it dry for 20 mins before reinserting. No problem with this except I’ve been wondering what I’d do if I were ill and couldn’t put it in every day - can it be left in a glass of water?

(I would've asked my dentist but he’s on holiday for a while).

Chrome cobalts can be left in water but do not use steradent or anything else in the water as it turns the metal parts black and corrodes them.

@Lollygaggle thank you, that's very helpful.
