Three weeks ago I dropped a heavy item on my foot. The foot bruised badly and little swelling. I assumed I'd broken the little toe strapped it to the next one and just got on with my day. However 3 weeks later the little toe is extremely swollen, red, painful and hot to touch. It's so sensitive to touch and is throbbing. I've taken pain relief which helps slightly but the pain is severe. I thought by now it should feel slightly better but in fact it feels worse. Anyone else had this? TIA 😀

Doesn’t sound quite right.. I would be tempted to 111 and ask their opinion. May need an X-ray. Did the injury break the skin? Could it be infected? Do you have a temp?

The skin isn't broken so not sure if it could be infected. I do feel unwell though but thinking it's just a cold. I will see if I can get a GP appointment in the morning. Thank you 😀
