Another Antibiotic question........ please read

My Ds,6 mths, has just about finished his second lot of antibiotics for infected eczema and was wondering if anybody else has given their LO cephalaxin and if so what effect did it have on them.
The info sheet says it can make children hyperactive but no mention of babies. My DS has been much more active (like a little kid high on E #'s) and not sleeping well at all since starting them.
Not sure if coincidence or if its the antiB's making him like this

DS2 was on antibiotics from birth for suspected kidney probs and I actually took him off them at 5 months because he was SUCH a difficult baby on them - windy, colicky, screamy, loads of dirty nappies. It is likely that the ABs have affected your son, let's hope they did the job they were prescribed for!

It is prob the additives in them rather than the drug itself.

Sounds quite possible though.

His skin has cleared considerably but obviously dont want to stop before stated time but he is quite wild at the moment

Do not stop ABs.

You must finish the course (unless a negative affect i.e. allergy) or the infection will just rebound.

If you cannot bear the effects speak to your GP before stopping.

the problem is the gp said if its cleared up after 5 days then stop if not take for 7days. His skin is no longer infected or red but you can still see the marks on his skin esp on his nose and cheek!
