Blocked ears driving me mad

I had a horrible 2 week cold. At some point my ears ended up blocked. For 3 days i used sodium bicarb drops and now I'm using olive oil. They aren't getting better it's driving me mad it's so disorientating and they are a bit sore too ☹️ Trying to avoid GP as it seems like such a silly thing. Anything else I can do?

The flushing out by GP is the only thing that clears mine.
It's not from not cleaning them. The wax generates to protect the ear, so it's in there anyway.
You didn't do anything wrong to cause it.

Funny enough my ear totally blocked as well after I had a bad cold, and then had to get them flushed. I also starting feeling dizzy as well and thought I had an ear infection.

That’s the best diagnosis though. Really easy to sort out compared to blocked Eustachian tubes.

Yes you're right it's good it's not an infection. Wish the doctors surgery could have just sorted it though.
