Want to hear of those who have had gall bladder removed?

I had my gall bladder removed Feb this year and since then my digestive system has been in shreds.
Diarrhoea which I think is bile acid malabsorption. But a more frustrating problem which is pain after eating. I wake up in the morning too feeling really really "sore" inside. Generally on the right side, it's like a stitch feeling.
The pains are a new issue but the diarrhoea is a persistent issue. I have trialed colsevelam but that gives me horrendous heart burn so I stick to immodium which does seem to help.
I think I've got post choleycectomy syndrome. Just to clarify, the pains aren't as bad as when I had the gall bladder pains but they are a similar pain (more fleeting).
Just wanted to hear if anyone else had these issues and what they did?
Do I need to go on a low fat diet for life?
Had no follow up for this surgery or anyone who can offer advice and the internet says conflicting things.

I had mine removed last October
First l had tye gallstones removed along with bile sludge.. that had to heal for a month.. then had gallbladder removed.. everything went fine.. kept to low fat diet.. a month later l was in agony ( A& E treated me for angina .. it definitely wasn't but l came out two weeks later with medication for my heart) the pain came back.. horrific/ agonising. Blue lighted back to A&E.. another scan.. they had left some gallstones in the bile ducts.. had to have another endoscopy to remove them and the clips.. more bile sludge too.... gave me jaundice and liver abscess.. was in for 4 weeks on antibiotic drips and morphine.
A year later I'm still bloated... have to be careful what l eat.. not always low fat.. but l know if l indulge.
