Anyone got this heavy cold they can’t shift?

I’ve had it 8 days now and still have a nose like a tap and heavy eyes and feel so blocked up and sneezing. Colds used to last about 4 or 5 days and job done. Ever since I had Covid in March 2020 I have struggled to shake anything off at any speed.

This latest Covid is like that. We are still suffering a couple of weeks on.
Noses like taps, sneezing, aching & tired.

I did test on the second day and I was negative but maybe I should test again…. It is driving me nuts. I felt okish on day 5 and then bam hit and floored again the last two days. I feel so dramatic but never known a cold like it.

Yes the amount of snot is unbelievable! Also mine went and has come back again 😭

HamSandwichKiller · 23/12/2023 17:41

Yes, same here. It's miserable. Went to Boots yesterday and a good portion of the cold and flu aisle was empty so there's obviously loads going round at the moment. What's annoying is that my body is failing to fight the bloody thing off. So tiresome. The whole house smells of Vicks 🥹

I've been ill for nine weeks now 😢

Pigglycat · 23/12/2023 20:55

I had it recently..It went on for about three weeks but has now largely settled down. It was a streaming cold plus chest infection. It seemed to clear up but then started again.

Sanch1 · 23/12/2023 21:18

Yep, 2.5 weeks and counting.........

Mine turned into sinusitis. I got antibiotics it cleared in less than 24 hours

Flensburg · 23/12/2023 22:26

I had two courses antibiotics as mine turned to bronchitis and then sinusitis. Currently nearing the end of week 9 from initial infection, with horrendous sinusitis. Can't taste a thing.
