Recently put on propanol for heart palpitations (peri-meno induced anxiety I think) - I don't really drink at all but might fancy a couple of glasses on Xmas day.. is this ok? Leaflet says don't drink on them, but I'm sure i know others on this drug who drink way more than I would, regularly!

I’ve never had any issues but I don’t drink heavily

Absolutely fine. I've taken them for over 30 years and never had any problems at all mixing them with alcohol.

I was on this for a while. My GP said drinking was absolutely fine so long as not to excess.

It can make you feel a little lightheaded if you overdo it. But it's safe to have a couple of glasses - just don't anxiously knock back the prosecco shortly after taking one or you could be like my mother one Christmas where she nipped across the road at 11am to have a couple of sherries with her best mate before Christmas Lunch at 2pm.

She wobbled back two and a half hours later and went to bed until 5pm, leaving me and my big brother in peace to watch what we wanted instead of the Queen's Speech. Late meal, but we both enjoyed that Christmas Day immensely.

She blamed having a Port and Lemon on top of the two Sherries. We just laughed and cracked on with the peanuts and pickled onions to keep us going.

I drink on them, never had a problem
