Diagnose me!

I'm a long term sufferer of anxiety, particularly health anxiety. Have upped my meds recently to see if that helps, but only a few days in and no real change.
I've put on 5 stone in 2 years due to anxiety meds, just under the threshold for diabetes (tested last in August with full blood panel all fine)
I've had a bad time at home and work over the past couple of months. Issues at work causing me anxiety and 2 poorly family members.
For 6 weeks now I've felt lightheaded and had a fuzzy head. I'm also tired, but not exhausted. Generally sleeping 8pm-6am but can get through the day ok with no general fatigue.
I feel like I can't concentrate or think properly and keep making silly mistakes, getting the odd word mixed up. Not lost any weight etc and no other symptoms.
Is this anxiety causing it all? If not vertigo maybe? I've tried antihistamines but they made no difference. Menopause maybe? I've just turned 40? Just pure exhaustion from working full time and ferrying my kids to 12 activities between them? Stress?
Either way it's driving me mad.

What's your diet and fluid intake like, and do you do any exercise or get enough fresh air? I feel like this when I have too much sugar.

I've never had derealisation before. I wonder if it is that. It feels so strange.

I would say anxiety, then anxiety about the anxiety, plus the stupid season where every single day someone has to wear a specific outfit/have a specific snack/perform in something/be somewhere outside of the usual schedule where the only person juggling all those balls is Mum and so you feel like yourre going insane and are just hoping if you do drop a ball that no-one notices......
Plus far too many Christmas snacks at work......that sugar is definitely not helping

@Mumaway sounds pretty much spot on!!! It's killing me. Why can't I be a normal human who doesn't feel this way.

To much Vitamin D ???

When was ur last blood test for it?
Did u have 6-12 weeks of high dose then come down?
4000 is alot, especially if your diet is ok and you drink / Eat things with Vitamin D in and you spend some time outside

doingmaheadin · 20/12/2023 20:02

My blood test was just diabetes and general screening. Don't think they tested for vitamin d. Maybe I am having too much? My diet isn't amazing but I'll generally have 2-3 portions of fruit/veg a day.

You seem like you are very busy.

I'd take time to stop - physically, mentally, emotionally.

I've has feelings similar to yours. It's usually when I'm verging on feelings of depression, like when I've been keeping it all going for too long. The disconnect is almost like a 'safe mode' for your brain.

Sometimes I just need to shut my own unproductive thoughts and worries up, which I what I heavily rely on music for. Whatever genre makes you feel most upbeat is a good place to start.

Stare up at the night sky, walk barefoot on the ground (might be a bit squelchy this time of year!), stroll in parks or forests, visit rivers or lakes.

Just some little ideas to try.

All the best to you x
