Is there a viral cough going around?

I was at work about 2 weeks ago and someone presented with a fever and a cough. Said it was covid. That was on Thursday and Friday of the 7t and 8th of December.

My life was low key over the past two weeks too because work had me for approx 9 days and 8, nights. I was no where else. I wasn't on public transport. I didn't even go shopping.

Then just this weekend, I found a fever. It responded to paracetamol. Now I have a cough too.

I did a home COVID test but it's negative.

I am actually extremely ill with this cough. I can hardly catch my breath with some coughing fits. My throat is sore now too but that's from the violent coughing fits that sprung on me so fast.

I have other health issues too but it's not cold or respiratory issues and now it seems to be all flaring up and I had an accident yesterday too which had me considering A&E but I held off.

Is there some sort of a viral cough going around. I am exhausted too. I am so so so tired.

Of course, multitudes. Ds1 had a cold, now ds2 has a lingering cough, lead to wheezy chest infection for me (crap lungs). I actually welcomed the break during covid, managed to go 3 years without anything Shock
