Rash on breast won’t go away and sacred of GP.

I’ve had a rash on my breast for months and I’m shitting myself incase of IBC. I went to a GP earlier in the year because of pain and change in skin texture, and she honestly made me feel as though I was wasting her time. She did lots of eye rolling and a quick ‘exam’ of one boob and didn’t bother with the other, and basically said no lump, no problem. I really don’t want to go back and I’m not sure what to do. The pain has gone but I’ve got this rash that won’t budge. It’s probably about the size of a two pound coin.

Are there any other GPs at your surgery, can you request to see one? Or go to a private breast clinic?Your GP is remiss in thinking there has to be a palpable lump. When I was as recalled to the breast clinic after my mammogram they said there is no way I would’ve been able to feel the area (it wasn’t b/c, but could’ve been in terms of non-regular tissue).

You know you need to go back.
Ask for a different GP or a chaperone in the appointment. And ask for a referral to the breast clinic.
