Any ideas what I'm, thankfully, starting to recover from?

Been in bed since Wednesday and just recovered 6pm tonight. Had bad headache, fever, stiff neck and upper back, acid indigestion leading to throwing up every hour from 6pm last night till 3pm this morning. Must have been an infection or bug. Feeling OK now. Be nice to know what might have caused it.

Fair enough. I had something similar 7 years ago and never found out what it was. Its quite a shock to the system to be completely knocked off your feet when I am usually healthy. I should be grateful for that though.

Sounds like what I had before xmas, I assumed it was gastro entiritis, or stomach flu, the worst flu symptoms combined with vomiting, nasty!

maybe you could get a flu jab next winter? My GP will happily do them for anyone who wants one (don't know if that's countrywide though). Might help you avoid something or not get it so bad?
