Currently feeling grim with nasty virus. Hoping I'm over the worst now and tomorrow I'll be feeling much better.
Daughter had this all week and is ok now. Husband showing no symptoms at all.
We're due to visit elderly relatives on Sunday, would you cancel... if I'm well and husband seems fine?
Or maybe I stay home and the others can go?
Have a bit of a fever so more than a simple cold but not flu...

I wouldn't thank you for coming to see me until you're all properly over it.

I caught RSV from a young relative this time last year, was ill for six weeks, missed Christmas and New Year and was lucky to stay out of hospital. I wish his parents had had the sense to tell us he was unwell before we visited.

Yes, you're right. Just hugely disappointing as we had Covid the last 2 Christmases which ruined plans. We had Covid a few weeks ago so thought we were out the woods... ! This feels worse tbh.
Can't believe this is happening again but can't take a risk with a 90-year old.

I would stay home as it's not worth the risk.
