If I'm not sick with one thing, it's another! I woke up in agony in my mouth today, feels swollen but when I look it's not swollen but one humongous ulcerated area where it hurts??? I've never seen an ulcer this big should I be booking an emergency dentist appointment? I've attached pictures below.

See your dentist for an accurate diagnosis and treatment.

It does look sore. Until you can see the dentist you could swill around the area with soluble aspirin to help relieve the discomfort.

It's all good! It turned into a very large canker sore

Absolutely never ever do this . Aspirin is an acid and will make any ulceration much, much worse.
Aspirin should not be placed or swished anywhere in the mouth . It can cause some very nasty burns on its own.

Glad you are recovering OP.
@Lollygaggle l meant well diluted of course. l have used this method myself for gum and other dental issues, wisdom teeth pain and also many times for gargling when l've had tonsillitis. I do see your point though re acidity so thankyou.

Ugh, I thought it was a canker sore, I had a huge one appear on the raised area there so I thought it was that but it has faded a lot now and the area is still raised, it's line a raised red line with a tiny ulcer on top of it now as its shrunk down a lot! It still is so painful. I have no idea what it is.
