Gallstones

Had results back from abdominal mri

Have a few things found

Including gallstones

I don't know anyone whos had gallstones
.
If u did - what happened re them etc ?

Most older women have gallstones. If they’re not causing you any problems you can leave. If they are then you can have them removed, usually keyhole surgery and you wouldn’t need to stay over night.

For me, mine were painful. I was repeated dismissed by my GP, I eventual ended up with one stuck in my bile duct and my by then new GP send me immediately to surgical assessment and they removed by gall bladder.

My experience of gallstones is pain on the right upper abdominal area, under the ribs. Many people have gallstones which don't cause them symptoms.

Gastro dude rung me today - he thinks i have ibs

I have pain on right too but as i have liver issues - poss NAFLD thats being investigated - some pain on right is to be expected i think

I had them once. Oh my god, I was in terrible pain. I did however get rid of them with lots of cocodamol and lots of water.
If I remember correctly they offered to take my gallbladder out. It was about 5 years ago
