Wheezing in throat or chest?

So last week we all came.diwn with some weird cold or virus in our house. I had the worst productive cough with horrible mucus. We are all better now but it's taken me a while week to feel better and I've got an annoying cough still. But just clear mucus now. I keep getting a weird wheeze on breathing in and out. I don't feel like it's coming from my chest but my throat. And I find it hst if I cleary.rheoat or do a big cough and that It gets better. Its very annoying. I have j although anxiety and I am panicking about it that's it's not normal. I also feel like I can get any air in my lungs either. Are these related? Should I be worried. Obviously I know no one can diagnose me but I just wanted to know if anyone had a similar experience.

Ah yes this done the rounds in my house few weeks back, followed with d&v (lucky me). I had a wheeze but it was from the chest, gave me some antibiotics which I didn't end up taking as had some weird reaction so actually it cleared on its own, took a few weeks to get back to normal. If you're stressed about it then obviously get checked by GP but if you've got clear mucus I don't think an infection is lurking? All the best

This is the thing. It was on my chest fo a day where I could feel a rattle but now it's more of a wheeze and sometimes a high pitched whistle and then after I clear my throat or cough. It goes away. And then comes back and we follow this cycle of throat clearing and coughing.

Also so sorry to reply again, just re read your post and have you heard of the 'anxiety cough? I get this when anxious and the can't take a full breath I'll keep doing big coughs it's very odd but if you've got anxiety perhaps once all clear from the gp it might be something to consider?

Yes! I do have mega anxiety and it's especially bad at the moment due to being unwell and thinking the worst. Even when I'm not coughing I find myself purposely taking deep breaths or even forcing a yawn just to get some proper air.

Are you sure it wasn't covid? - I've just had it, this time symptoms started with weird cough with thick mucous that felt like it was stuck in your throat then got wheezy and blocked sinuses with splitting headache for a few days...

I didn't test for covid as was refined to the house with it and my DS was Ill too and then ended up on anti B's for ear infection. So I can't be sure it wasn't. My sinus were sore though with little creaking feeling in my nose. I had a bad tension type headache for a day or two that was quite painful! And I had this cough!

I've just had this and multiple negative Covid tests yet it was as if I had Covid. My tests have been hanging around for a while and I don't know if they have lost effectiveness. Mine started about 10 days ago, banging head, terrible cough, sore throat, sinus pain, uncontrollable sneezing. It's taken a while to clear but the hideous wheezy cough persists. I've been using Optrivine Sinus and a daily antihistamine which has made it manageable. Absolutely hideous and so many people I know have the same.
