All on 6 (dentistry) - Anyone had?

I was in a nasty accident a 20 odd years ago and a number of my teeth were removed or repaired (as much as they could be)

I now only have 6 real top teeth at the back, most with heavy fillings or damage. I have two dental implants in the front. I have a 6mo regular appointment with the dentist to try and keep all my teeth in good nick (Private not NHS).

In my last appointment my dentist said that another needs to come out. We were considering a plate (because I am fast running out of teeth I can actually chew with) - The plate option was a little bit expensive and frankly looked as comfortable as a scolds bridle.

I was considering the all on 6, which is more expensive but looked a more complete option - but wanted to now how comfortable and secure they were. Is it worth losing 5 partially functioning teeth?
