I was hospitilised in the spring with septic bursitis. Normalish mri since then. However, the same knee is now super hot and difficult to move but not painful. Is this a GP thing, or just to be expected or should i go to walk in?

I’d ring the GP first thing tbh. I’ve had one but it went away on its own including the heat.

If i were to go to A&E when is likely to be quieter? The GP wasnt much use when i came out of hospital and said its a thing which ndeeds to be seen in hospital but would prefer not to wait 12 hours on a chair. quieter

Draw around the redness. If it spreads outside the line you need to seek urgent medical attention, it can't wait until Wednesday.

silvershark22 · 12/12/2023 02:34

Thanks redness is stayimg constant but pain is increasimg. Temperature still normal

go to A & E. now.

To give an update went to the walkin and was taken in to A&E. they did blood tests and xrays and got an orthapedic surgeon to take a look.

The view was it is inflamation and to take antiinflamitories. Going to hospital was absolutely the right call though as the orthapedic sugeons needed the bloodtests to make a decision because it was rswollen. They took photos and said to come back if it does this again. Couple of days of reggular antiinflamitories and its now back to normal. However, have been told to come back if it does this again.

Hi think I’ve got the same thing! Can I ask which anti inflammatory painkillers you were told to take?
