Burning sensations in lower abdomen couple of weeks

My DH is getting the above
He went to docs last week and was advised to start taking Omeprazole in the evening as well before meal. DH has been on 20mg tablets once a day for years becuse of acid reflux.

DH has acid reflux, hiatus hernia for years and about 3 years ago go diagnosed with Diverticulitis. DH is of good weight ie about 11st at 5' 9" and BMI is good.

The burning sensation years ago was to the left side of the belly and towards the groin and a camera down both ends confirmed diverticulitis and stress was reduced and DH burning stopped. The sensation increased after eating

Moving on to last two weeks - the same sensation as top plus gets it right side but not as much and is more constant ie happens before and after eating food

Doc could not feel anything and nothing hurts when pressed.

No improvement since taking 2nd omeprazole but doc said it may take at least 2 weeks to make a difference. Buring goes away when stood up and or walking and lying down in bed at night and or passing water but same as standing and feels better for a while after a nuber 2

DH has also started drinking a lot leass tea eg very, very weak tea decaf with lots of milk

All non scary stuff appreciated (DH will try and get another gp appointment for the coming week)

Wild stab in the dark - has he got covid?

I've had really weird stabbing pains and soreness in my stomach for about a week now, and tested positive yesterday. I only tested because someone else in my family felt ill and they had it.

Hello. I've had COVID-19 a few weeks ago, it was mild but DH has tested several times and no covid. It's more of a burning sensation, thanks.

Perhaps he needs to see a different GP. Is there a walk-in centre he could go to instead?
