Anyone had ischemic colitis? Please advise, I had a colonoscopy 5 weeks ago because of constant constipation then diarrhoea. All good, bloods all good, endoscopy all good, ultrasound of upper abdomen all good. Gastro suggested capsule endoscopy. Jeez didn’t realise how big it was, took a few goes to swallow it and I felt it go down. 6 hours later I was on the toilet sweating, doubled up in pain with severe diarrhoea and haemorrhaging from my bowel. At 2 am my husband rang 111, they told me to go to an and e in Kingston which was just awful. I was admitted and told it’s ischemic colitis, no meds offered except paracetamol. I was discharged next day. No bleeding since but I’m in so much pain with gas, tried everything, don’t know what to do now, I’m scared I will bleed again. Anyone had this please ?
