Wow that's a whopper! How are you feeling? Any unusual pain or other symptoms? My periods certainly got heavier into my 40s. If you feel ok otherwise it's probably just perimenopause changes but it might not be a bad idea to see a doc for a check over if you're worried.

I think that's normal unless it's constantly happening? But watch out for low iron. I get clots like that or worse, occasionally, and my periods are heavy. I have low iron as a result.

I didn't actually perceive my periods as being that heavy until I decided to calculate roughly how many millilitres I use based on how many super plus tampons I use per cycle. I was surprised to learn my periods are medically considered heavy. Over 80ml per cycle is heavy. I recommend NHS website for more info.

Take iron, you’ll need it after that beast.

Mine are that size or even larger and are accompanied by flooding. I have fibroids and polyps and am having a hysterectomy in Jan next year but I am 52 and have had this, on and off with treatments, for over ten years.

I'm loosing more than 80ml a cycle, I think I lost more than that today. My moon Cup has a 15ml marker and I've emptied it over that mark about 6 times today, flooded two towels and a pair of period pants.

I think I need to measure it all next month. My iron is low. I think I need to supercharge my iron supplements.

Did a e consult with the gp, said its normal pre menopause.
