Coldsore question? Re infection?

I have had coldsores previously, my latest one was august of this year and cannot remember when one before that was. So I know I’ve got HSV 1 in my body. But I’ve a question, 2 nights ago I hugged a friend and spoke in her ear ( we were at a wedding and band was playing loud ) and I didn’t see any coldsore on her lips at the time but the next evening she messaged me complaining how she was so exhausted and had broken out with 2 coldsores. My question is, am I at risk of a coldsore developing now since I was close to her or because I have HSV already in my body it won’t matter how close I was as my body is already infected with the virus? I didn’t kiss her and her lips didn’t touch her anywhere at all but I was in close range to her during hugging and talking. What I’m trying to ask is do I have to worry about a coldsore popping up as I could be reinfected again or no? Hope this makes sense. I’m very anxious about coldsores as I have a 8 week old baby and am aware and hyper vigilant about how dangerous they are for babies.
thanks to everyone in advance.

If you had never had cold sores before, you wouldn’t have caught one from hugging your friend and whispering in her ear - contact is required. So I don’t think this event would cause one to appear now.
If you develop a cold sore now it would be coincidental because you already have them and they can flare up as and when. Try not to stress - stress would make it more likely to show up!

hope that all makes sense!!
