I had a colposcopy and cervical lunch biopsy last Wednesday. I've had some weird discharge and slight pink blood but I thats it. Then today I've started gushing bright red with clots. Its deffo not my period. I was ovulating yesterday so I know that. I'm worried jst I've got an infection or something, especially since I feel oust today with what I assumed was a cold or something. We are all sick in our house anyway. Should I be worri d or is it normal for the bleeding to start a while later rather than straight away?

My daughters had two now... she had discharge ..bit of blood..but nothing like you have described.. I'd ring the department where you had it done for advice.

I'm reluctant to ring 111 to be honest. I'm full of cold and can't be doing with going in. I'll deffo ring my GP in the morning as 111 aren't likely to do anything now surely? After a quick Google it does day that bleeding straight away is.normal.but bleeding a week later is also normal if th scab at the biopsy site has shed. I'm not soaking pads in less than two hours which is the guidance they give and it doesn't smell bad. I think I was just shocked to see so much bright red blood!
