Flu jab supply issues?

I had a private flu jab booked at Boots (not in an at risk group) about a month ago which was cancelled on the day because they'd run out of supply. I've chased a couple of times since and they say they have my contact details and will let me know when they have supply in. They also say it's a nationwide issue and there's nowhere else they can refer me to because nobody has supply. This doesn't seem to be in the news or anything though like no supply of flu vaccine in the country for an entire month? Anyone else experiencing this?

I got my flu jab a month ago in Boots-but it was in Ireland. It’s a bit ironic that a British chain of pharmacies can have a supply of vaccines in Ireland but not in the UK. Hope you’re successful in getting it soon.🤞
(Edited to say, it was also a private flu jab and I’m not in an “at risk” category either.)

No problems here - the Morrisons pharmacy near me has plenty for NHS and private (overheard the customer in front asking about them). Try a different pharmacy maybe?

They come from a central supplier so as Boots can't get them, the other pharmacies won't be able to for much longer. To be honest the supply normally runs out at the beginning of December every year, then more come through in January. Next year have it in September.

Yes the NHS clincs near me are closing next week. They're been going since early/ mid Sept; most people who want one, had it weeks ago.

I had this problem with Boots too. Had my appointment cancelled 4 times. I tried 3 different locations in the city where I am (Bristol)and finally got lucky with my 5th appointment last weekend.

There was an issue with supply for under 65 year olds in a couple of places I paid for a flu jab and had it done the next day, not Boots though.
