Should I worry about this?

I'm sure my DD was a hamster in a previous life. She quite regularly chews bits off her books. Usually I only give them to her when I am supervising her, but she got hold of a little book when I had my back turned.

She has chewed a corner off the back cover. It is a board book. I'm not too concerned about her swallowing a bit of cardboard, but now a corner has been demolished, I see the book is covered in some sort of sticky backed plastic stuff and she has swallowed a rectangle of it 1 and a half cm by 2 and a half cm.

Bit worried that it won't be great for her insides. I've checked inside her mouth and it's not lurking there ready to choke her, so I'm pretty sure it's been swallowed. She seems happy enough - she's having a little dance around the room at the moment...

She's 19 months old btw.

Thanks

apparently i ate part of a Mr Man book when i was a baby

think it is quite normal - perhaps she is teething and likes chomping on the hard cardboard

I ate a monopoly house, upon questioning from the gp I apparently informed him not to worry, I swallowed well and it is at the bottom of my foot now!

DS is always eating his books - he loves flicking through them though so feel mean taking them away, but I don't think there is a corner left. If it's a kids book I am sure the manufacturers take this in to account with whatever they print them with (I hope!). You will find all sorts in her nappy though! I could clearly identify part of a bickiepeg packet last year!

I'm kind of used to her swallowing cardboard now (I don't think she has a book left in one piece!) It was just the sticky back plastic stuff I was a little iffy about...
