Microdiscectomy recovery timeline

Hi all,

I had an S5/L1 microdiscectomy a week ago. I'm not in too much pain any more and walking is OK. But my question is about sitting and how long it took others who had the op to be back sitting comfortably. I can sit about 20 minutes at the moment & have to lie down or walk the rest of the time. And the sofa is not comfortable.

Would love some reassurance over longer sitting times a few weeks in! Thank you

@todayortomorrow hello, just come across your post and wondered how you're getting on? I had this opp on l4 and l5 nearly 3 weeks ago and am interested in what I should be expecting with regards to recovery
