COVID.

I’m on day 9. The last 24 hours has had the added bonus of completely blocked ears and vertigo. My temp won’t settle.

I don’t think it is flu, I had the vaccine for that. It’s not Covid (tested a lot of times) but it’s some evil bastard virus for sure.

I’ve done 4 tests they have all been negative so far.

Oh no that’s rough 9 days has you temperature kept going up without paracetamol and ibuprofen. Honestly the doctor scared me a bit saying about things developing into sepsis as my temperature has been high for 4 days and my blood pressure was low 108/76
my blood pressure is allways low anyway but she said it’s lower than my normal reading.
so now I’m a bit anxious that she told me about looking out for signs of sepsis.

Yes my temp goes up as soon as the tablets wear off. It’s very frustrating.

It’s been a curious few days as it keeps changing but I am heartily sick of it.

Yes in the UK. I have battled on WFH for this week (part time) but in reality not done a huge amount. DD wasn’t well for 3 days but perfectly fine now and back at nursery. DH hasn’t got it but we have kept far apart.

But there’s loads of people I know with it, there’s a lot of nasty germs that are just as bad as Covid but not Covid. I have had a terrible year for respiratory infections which GP says is a result of long Covid as had that dreadfully last Christmas (4 weeks worth) so I seem to drop like a stone with them these days.

There is a school of thought that the latest variant of COVID isn't showing up on tests.

I am still recovering from a virus and had difficulty breathing, terrible chesty cough, temperature in excess of 39° after 2 weeks. Whole family affected to an extent but Covid test negative.

I didn't have aching joints as one would expect with flu. The fact that I was coughing so badly I was unable to inhale makes me think it is likely to be Covid.

Apparently there is a lot of this going around.

This is week 4 and I'm on the sofa. Feel wiped out.
