Itchy rash. Hives? Please help

Hi all.
I had a 5 day course of Metronidazole and on day 3/4 noticed a few spots appearing and though nothing of it. Itching started just before I took my last dose on day 5. This was Sunday. Monday morning I had more spots and then my chest started with spots and now it's everywhere and so flipping itchy. I've had two piriteze (can only take one every 24 hours) and more appeared on my face and bottom of legs and feet in the night. Any advice please? I'm actually away on holiday at the moment. Otherwise feel well. Does this need checking out or can I assume it will calm down?

Ooo yes that’s definitely an allergy. I’d get it checked should it be an allergy to your antibiotic.

Antibiotic rashes that present like that generally aren't true allergies (if you Google you can find more info).

So I went to a pharmacy as I'm in Malta and she declared "Oh WOW!" And said I need to see a doctor today 🤣 so I went to another pharmacy who has a doctor available and she was lovely and said it does seem to be from the antibiotics by the look of the rash and prescribed steroids... Pres something. Hoping they kick in soon. So shocked, never reacted to anything before! I was worried about anaphylactic shock but she said it would have happened by now phew. X
