Is Vitamin B12 available to buy online? I want to ampoules so it can be injected.

Have you had your levels checked with the GP? If you need it they’ll prescribe it, if you don’t then there’s no point in buying them and doing it yourself with no actual medical need. My DD has pernicious anaemia so gets a B12 injection every 3 months at the GP. She doesn’t feel the ‘energy boost’ that people talk about at all which makes me feel that the people paying upwards of £40 to have them done privately at beauty clinics are just wasting their money for no reason

Not in the U.K. you can’t.

I do as well for Crohn's. Always know when I am due :)

I have pernicious anaemia and have had injection for several years I currently have them every 10 weeks, it can vary from 8-12 weeks . I get bloods done every 6 months. I also never get the rush when I have them and feel my body relies on them now. You can buy stuff off Internet but not sure how safe or what ingredients are in them

I don't know if you can buy the ampules but I do know you can easily pay for the injections.

I have pernicious anemia which means I cannot absorb vb12 through my stomach so have injections on NHS every 12 weeks. Last time it was due, I phoned for my appointment 10 days before. The earliest they could do it (a 5 minute procedure) was 10 days after my due Date.

so I looked around and found a private clinic who would do it sooner, for £30. Money well spent, in my view.

I order from Versandepo in Germany and inject myself as my GP stopped them in covid

deedeemegadoodoo · 13/12/2023 19:32

I posted this question two weeks ago and completely forgot! I had a successful gastric sleeve and have been having injections privately. I’d rather sort it myself if I can.

@deedeemegadoodoo it would probably be cheaper for you to source them to do yourself rather than go privately would it not?

How have you felt since? Are you needing B12 for the foreseeable or just to get you back up after surgery?
