I’ve been having pain deep in my left arm pit for a couple of months. In the summer I felt a lump. I got my partner to feel it too and they said they felt a little nodule. When I check now I can’t feel any lump but the pain is there most of the time. Sometimes I feel it without touching the area and sometimes I feel only when I’m checking the area by feeling it.
I saw a nurse practitioner a few weeks ago and she had a good feel around the arm pit and couldn’t feel any lump. She also checked my breasts and said they feel fine and to come back in a month if the pain is still there and she will send me to the breast clinic.
I guess I’m worried about the possibility of breast cancer. A lot of women on my dads side of the family had it and my cousin had it too.
Has anyone else on here experienced this before? I’m hoping it’s just a cyst or hormonal. I’m early 40s.
