Desogestrel and constant bleeding

hope someone can help as I’m at my wits end with this! I’m in a new relationship and I’ve started taking desogestrel. This is month two, coming to the end of. Things started ok but I’ve now been either spotting or full bleeding for almost 3 weeks. Obviously this is annoying at the best of times, awful when you’re in the throes of seeing someone new!
has this happened to anyone else? Did it settle and if so when? Im so close to stopping them to be honest, it’s putting me in the worst mood.
I’m due to have the mirena fitted but that’s in two weeks and plus what if this happens on that as well?
the doctor just says wait and see but I’m having to wear pads everyday and I can’t have sex. It’s making me feel so down.
thanks for any advice you can give 😣

I’m on this pill type and got bleeding end of very first month. Been over a week now.
I found it weird as surely you don’t ovulate (which I actually didn’t feel for once) on 28 days pill pack with no break.

I really don’t know it was/has been a period and one morning this week had blood in urine really clearly so the GP prescribed antibiotics which I’m now starting to feel better for and also being tested for kidney stones. Are they testing you for anaemia? (to lose blood for such a time can’t be good)

I think the coil and oral contraception are different specs as I have a fibroid and was suggested the coil but when I looked up Fibroids in a medical encyclopaedia book last week it said not to treat Fibroids with oral. 🙈 (my bad)
