So for a bit of history I’m under neurology for new daily persistent headache and migraine issues for years .
recently developed constant vertigo . Feel off balance , like I’m swaying to side at times and almost like I’ve been drinking . At times it’s so bad it causes nausea . Part of me thinks it must be a new type of migraine ( lucky me ) but I’ve had mri head tonight . Whilst there lady scanning me mentioned she was surprised I wasn’t having auditory ear canal mri too to look at inner ear and now I’m worried something could be missed ? Should I query this or is most issues covered by mri ? For context I have no hearing loss etc .

I would try not to worry, they associate the feeling of dizziness with inner ear problems. I've been having ongoing vertigo and lightheaded for over a year now and sometimes it's so bad I literally can't move. I never got offered an MRI though. But my doctor said it's either BPPV or something to do with me ears. Basically if we get a virus it can hang around in your ear canal and cause the dizziness. Try not worry and just see what comes back. I know.its easier said than done. I have bad health anxiety and I would be feeling the exact same xx

@Lkakpk I've had one done for vertigo. I had migraines frequently but numerous wrong diagnosis of vestibular migraines by gps the dizziness got worse to the point of all day nausea. So I was sent to hospital and had a CT (I begged for this) then an mri done. I can look at my report but they look at all areas of the brain. Sinus included. Maybe lady thought they meant to look for a crystal imbalance in the inner ear that causes vertigo? Hope all goes well x
