Metronidazole advice please... Alcohol!

Hi all

I've been prescribed metronidazole for a root canal/gum infection 😬 I'm well aware not to have alcohol for the 5 day course as well as 48 hours after. I haven't started the course yet however.... I had two glasses of wine last night. Am I able to start the course now or in the morning? Very keen to start them as I want the infection under control.

Unsure if it's the same protocol if you haven't actually started the antibiotics and had a drink before?

I'd start in the morning. I tested met. and booze once and it wasn't pretty 😬

I think I last had a glass at about 10pm last night. Could kick myself as I hadn't had a drink for weeks beforehand. Guess I didn't know I was gonna be prescribed the course but oh well 😭 will start the course in the morning and hopefully 🤞 no side effects x

Start in the morning. Metronidazole and booze makes you feel awful. I puked like something from a horror film! 🤮
