Red light Therapy

Has anyone tried red light therapy? I’ve recently bought a panel. I know some people use it for their skin, I’ve bought it as I’ve got pelvic floor problems and I heard of someone using to help with that. I’ve only used it 4 times but I already feel ‘fresher’ and I’m sleeping better. It feels too good to be true. I worry about there being side effects that aren’t known about. On the other hand, my problems sleeping were also, surely going to affect my health long term. Would love to hear from other people who are using it.

Hey OP, how's it going with your red light panel? I'm curious about these and would love to know how it's going!

I’m using the panel about 5 times a week. I feel that it’s beneficial and that I generally have more energy, but I can’t know for sure, there are other changes that I’ve made too. I lie on the floor infront of my panel (on my side), I find it relaxing as it’s warm. I’m continuing to wonder if there could be unknown side effects.

I've been looking into these as well @Mustardfan can you say which one you bought please? (Brand and model). I've been researching and the benefits sound impressive

I read a lot of about it and followed it up with 20 sessions 15 minutes in a stand up tanning booth over a 2 month period. I had hoped it would make my ACL in my knee, sleep and skin look better, but it didn't make any difference. This was in 2020. Since then, I heard on R4 which had a show about RLT and other lights. It just validated all the research out there, so I'm now wondering if it's worth giving it another go.

It isn't very popular here in the UK, so finding a salon that offers a sit down bed/upright is hard to find locally or anywhere. I've been tempted to buy a panel or maybe the bed, but it'll cost about 1K plus and then the shipping costs would be expensive as well.

Tanning booths are a different kind of light. As fas as I know they are UV light and RLT is infrared and near infrared light.

The light spectrum goes from Infrared, Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet, Ultraviolet

Infared and Ultraviolet are at opposite ends.
