Back in March I noticed 4 painful lumps on my head and neck that were sore to the touch, I also felt a bit run down. Went to the Dr who had a look and said that the ones in my neck were swollen glands and the ones on my head had 'probably been there for years'! Said to go back in 2 weeks if they hadn't gone. 2 weeks later they had gone? But then a couple of months later another two came up in my neck. Went back to the Dr. She said it was probably an infection and (again) come back in 2 weeks if they haven't gone. Since then? They have come back at least another half a dozen times and each time I'm told it's probably an infection. Woke up this morning feeling rough and the side of my neck is swollen and painful. I'm so fed up, I feel too embarrassed to call the Dr again because they're making me feel like a hypochondriac! Has anyone had anything similar? Could it just be a recurring infection? I'm worried that the Dr will fob me off again!
