Bodypump exercise classes - whaddya reckon?

Now ds2 is at Kindy twice a week and I am forbidden to hang around outside the classroom pressing my bosom to the glass I need something to do with my time.

There's a Bodypump class on at the rec centre in the morning. I'm quite fit and OK at weights but hopeless at and quite frankly affronted by chirpy mass dance routines and "grapevines" and the like. I understand Bodypump is a syndicated thing and the same the whole world over.

Have you been? What's it like? Did it get rid of your jelly belly?

I think bodypump is FABULOUS. It is the only exercise class I did regularly. It really tones you up. It especially does arms and arse (pardon my vulgarity). My tum is past redemption (cs).

When you do your first class you will suffer aches for a few days after. Maybe after 2nd class too. I could hardly walk, bottom aching.

Persevere, 'cos if you allow a gap of say 2 or more weeks, you'll have the 'breaking-in' aching again. However, they say to allow a few days between classes to let muscle tears recover. I think once a week is ideal.

I 'lapsed' and this is sadly why I don't go to class anymore. I don't want aching legs (and derriere) to interfere with my running in any way.

The music is enjoyable as well.

Good luck.

I love it, I swear by it for getting into shape after babies/toning up and def gets rid of the Jelly Belly, my muscles split after dc2 and they have gone back great.

I totally agree with western girl you need to go regular and it will hurt after the first time. I would keep the weights light first of all and gradually build up.

If you go twice a week within a month you will really notice the difference.

One tip make sure you can see the instructor for the first few weeks, as a new person you always go to the back, i would suggest a good sight of the instructor.

Good Luck let us know what you think.

I love bodypump class

It's not aerobic but it helps a lot with body shape.

I do break out on a sweat though .

Lol at you pressing your bosom to the glass.
