Hey guys. A week or so ago I made a thread as I had itchy downstairs but no other symptoms. Recommend to try canestan pessary and over night the itching disappeared so it must have been thrush. However I tried to have sex last night and it just wasn't happening it was painful and dry and gave me little pains in my right lower abdomen every time he pushed it in further until I said I don't want to carry on. Is this normal after having thrush, after a week of treatment?

I get regular thrush and this is a side effect for me, absolutely. Give it a few more days and you should feel back to normal.

If it doesn't clear up soon, make an appointment at a GUM clinic. I got pain in abdomen during sex like that when I had an STD.

Not saying it is but if you're still feeling stuff like that in a bit, it won't hurt to go and get it looked at. It's their area.
