Gallbladder removal surgery

So after 5 years I’ve got my gallbladder surgery next Thursday, and I’m PETRIFIED of being put to sleep, I keep having panic attacks thinking about it and I feel like my anxiety is going to stop me from act going through with it. I’m so so so so scared!
I’ve got a 1 and a half year old little girl too, and I’m her only person so I’m SOOO scared of the recovery. I know she’s gna feel it and I’m just so upset.
anyone been through it and can help me?

I had mine about 7 weeks ago. Very pleased not to have gallbladder attacks anymore.
The anaesthetist was fabulous. Barely felt the needle even go in, I drifted off mid conversation.
When I woke I was in pain and nauseous , the nurse gave me more painkillers. I went back to sleep and when I woke again was pain free and didn’t feel sick.

Recovery at home was pretty quick. Went for a dog walk with DH the next day. Carried on taking painkillers for about a week, mainly at night.

I’m due mine in 2 weeks and feel the same OP! I know a few people who have had it done and they have all said its fine and a really quick operation and recovery time is quick so I just keep telling myself that. Best of luck!
