I was referred for an ultrasound scan as I have a lump in my groin - seen by an hcp at walk in nearly 3 weeks ago who said it was prob an enlarged lymph node and cos I’d had a virus it should go away but if not go to GP and get bloods.
it didn’t go away so I saw GP (locum) who said she didn’t think it was a node and it could be a hernia but she thought position wasn’t quite right. It’s much harder to feel when standing, can’t really feel when lying, but she really wasn’t sure.
I have a u/s scan in just over 3 weeks - if it’s a hernia, fine, no issue with waiting, but if something sinister will the wait impact?
Am trying not to get too anxious about it - I could pay for private one but not sure it’s worth it. Or I could call up for cancellation - would have to be next week now anyway. Wwyd?
