Bone Marrow Biopsy

I've just been told I need a bone marrow biopsy next week and the consultant said "I'm sorry, it's not the most pleasant of procedures", so that's nice!

Has anyone had one? Would be interested to hear if it's as bad as the impression she left me with - I've got a pretty tolerant pain threshold and regularly have spinal injections which don't bother me too much, so I'm hoping it won't be as bad as I'm telling myself it is!

TIA - any information most welcome.

I have had one, the consultants description left me very concerned.
However in reality it was over quite quickly and no near as bad as I was lead to believe. Maybe it’s an NHS thing, they have to over do everything so can’t be blamed if it’s worse than expecting.
