Make-up during MRI

I'm going to have a kidney MRI this evening straight after work. I just read the letter and it says not to wear make up. I may be able to scrub it or wipe it off when I get there. Has anyone wore makeup and it's been fine?

It is best not to wear it. Some makeup has iron oxides in it for the colour and then the magnetic field can cause the particles to move and cause irritation to your skin. Pick up a packet of skin wipes on your way and remove it to be sure
